I have been fortunate to live all over the US over the years. Most recently in 2018 my family and I received the call from the Lord to come to Hawaii to care for those sick and in need, and we were able to make the move in 2020.
My wonderful wife Tammy and I raise four amazing and funny children. We spend our time hiking, snorkeling, spearfishing, surfing, and swimming. As our youngest puts it “We love God’s Ocean”. I also am blessed to serve as the unit physician for the toughest soldiers you will ever meet at 1/299 CAV Squadron in Hilo.
I studied medicine and osteopathy at the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my residency training at the UPMC Family Medicine program in Williamsport, PA with a concentration in Emergency Medicine. This training gave me the ability to provide care to all age groups.
I have additional training in Osteopathic Manipulation, which is a great way to help my patients when they are in pain. If you have any questions about what that means, I would encourage you to visit this link:OMT: Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment | American Osteopathic Association
Ultimately my family and I are here to love, care for, and serve the people of Big Island. We love the Ohana culture and want to be a part of how Jesus is loving his people here. If you choose to let me be a part of your care, I look forward to helping you navigate your healthcare journey from preventative visits and chronic medical management, to everyday illness and injury. You can count on me to see you IN PERSON, no matter what care you need.
We will be closed August 9th due to a staffing shortage.
We will reopen with our regular hours on Wednesday. Thank you for your patience.
