Chow Hwang PA-C grew up in Southeast Asia. She moved to New York City when she was 17 years old, working full time while attending undergraduate school full time in NYC.
She went to PA school in Florida and graduated from Nova Southeastern University's PA program in 2012 with the Highest Honors.
Her passion during the PA program has always been in emergency medicine.
She started her first job in 2012 in Emergency medicine. Since then she has worked in more than 15 ER hospitals, both urban and rural settings in Virginia, Florida, and Las Vegas before relocating to the Big Island in 2017.
She relocated to Hawaii to work in Kona Community Hospital ER in 2017. She worked there until 2021. She found it very rewarding to work and serve the local Hawaiian community.
She joined Kaiser in 2021, working in the same-day care/ urgent care at Kaiser Hilo until 2024.
After multiple losses of her family members, including her parents, brother, sister, and aunts, she also developed a passion for providing palliative care for terminally ill patients as well as preventive medicine/ functional medicine for longevity, especially in weight loss. She has an interest in pain management without the use of opioids.
Chow enjoys everything about the outdoors. She is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
Currently, Chow resides on Big Island with her husband and their Yorkie dog, Mochi. Chow is a dog lover. She enjoys spending her time outside gardening, traveling, snorkeling, Bible study and hiking. She enjoys watching martial arts and sports. Lately, she found a new interest in archaeology and quantum biology.
She's very grateful to be able to join Transformation Health Network, an amazing healthcare team.
